What is your homepage for your internet browser?

Some people likes to use their own blog or mailbox, some just leave it default to msn.com or yahoo.com, some people chose the website that they go very often. It depends. Netvibes, is a very nice website to be set as your hompage. A web desktop.

What's a web desktop?
According to wikipedia, a web desktop is a network application system for integrating web applications into a web-based workspace. It is a virtual desktop on the web, running in a web browser as software. Understand?

A web desktop is like a desktop on your internet browser. You can customize it to fit your internet preference. It usually consist of many funtions that is independant to your own computer, that they're mostly dependant on the internet browser itself. You may add many functions yourself, depending on which web desktop you chose. Functions including the basic calendar, calculator, to mailboxes, feed readers etc.

It's very hard to explain in words and text, so I'll show you some pictures, so you don't need to imagine by yourself and misunderstod. Lol~

Netvibes, unlike other web desktops, it is tab-based, written with Ajax website language. You don't need to install any additional plug-ins for your browsers. Netvibes users usually likes to include their mailbox(es) in their front main tab, and uses another saperate tab for rss feed. Few days ago when I introduced rss, I did not mention Netvibes. But actually, it's built-in rss reader module is quite powerful enough for you to not to install external rss reader.

According to C4LPT(Center for Learning & Performace Technology), Netvibes scored rank 26th for the top 100 internet tools for 2007.
