Web Messenger
Web messenger is very convenient. Using a Windows Live account, anyone can now log into live messenger using just an internet browser, thus void the installation of the actual Windows Live Messenger software.
Very convenient for office computers, school computers, or public cybercafes that doesn't have Windows Live Messenger installed.
Sometimes useful too when your Windows Live Messenger malfunctioned.

Messenger Plus! Live
For anyone who uses Windows Live Messenger, this Messenger Plus! is a free add-on developed by a third party developers other than Windows Live Team. Installing the add-on itself doesn't add too much feature to your messenger, but you could add more features by downloading scripts from the Messenger Plus! website.
Main features of Messenger Plus! Live...
- Multiple accounts.
You can now sign-in different accounts on the same computer.
- Hide and Lock messenger.
Good feature for students and office users. You can now play messenger at your school or office as usual. When your teacher/employer is nearby, just hide and lock all chatboxes instantly with a combination of shortcut keys. (example ctrl+space)
- Contacts on desktop.
You can drag and drop your important contacts onto your desktop, so that you can pay more attention to those contacts on the desktop. Or you may just simply put those contacts that you frequently chat with on your desktop, so next time you won't need to open the messenger to find the contacts to open a chatbox, just double click on the desktop does the job.
- Chat logging.
Unlike the normal Windows Live Messenger logs. Messenger Plus! logs not only your conversation, but everything including emoticons as well.
- Event logging.
You can keep track of all events happened in your messenger while you're away. (example what time your contacts online or change status etc.)
- Logs encryption.
Encrypt your chat log with a password, so that none other than yourself can view your chat logs. Extra privacy for you. ^^
- Auto accept request.
If turned on, you'll auto accept every requests, including audio and video requests, file share requests etc.
- Tabbed chat.
Just like tabbed browsing, tabbed chat makes all chat boxes in a window. Save your taskbar space.
- Quick texts and quick icons.
You could set a shortcut key for a sentence or icons that you use frequently.
- Personalized status and auto-reply.
Instead of being 'away', you can now set your status as 'went out for tea' or 'playing games', 'bathing' etc.
- Further customize your messenger with scripts.
For advanced user, you can write scripts yourself. Or you can just download them from a gallery of scripts written by other developers.
A pretty good add-on for Windows Live Messenger.
Highly recommended.
Have a nice day~

Windows Live Messenger
Don't get confused with the Windows Messenger.
The Windows Messenger sux. This! is Windows Live Messenger.
Quite a lot of people are using now, I know.
For those who aren't, I can still introduce to you, can't I?
ok, here goes...
Windows Live Messenger currently has the 2nd most users around the world. Excluding United States, It's the top! With many functions and extensions, you could do almost anything, from instant messenging to video conference.
IMO, besides instant messenging, the most useful feature I could say is folder sharing. Now you doesn't need to worry about network disconnection.
What's the difference between file sending and file sharing?
In the old ways, you send file tru instant messenger. If one side disconnected, the whole file transfer would end up failed. BUT, with file sharing, the files you put in the shared folder will immediatly start transfering when both parties are online. If the file(s) are sending half way, and one side disconnected, the transfer will CONTINUE the next time both sides are online again.
What's the big deal you asked?
Have you tried sending one big file to another, like, 200MB file. You waited for quite some time, and finally it reached 99%...and so...your computer hangs!!! WTF YOU HAVE TO DO IT ALL AGAIN!!! so THAT'S the big deal. With file sharing, you wouldn't hafta worry about this.
I guess, this is enough talk already. So here's the link...
